Hello, I'm Peter.

Last year I left my job to build PaperLab: a system that grades handwritten exam papers against official mark schemes. I spent a few months writing the marking and evaluation pipeline to validate accuracy against historic examples. I shipped a frontend to the App Store that started gaining users and got me into Founders Inc in San Francisco. But IP negotiations failed, so I open sourced the project and moved on.

I worked at LSEG where we optimised portfolios for global banks. I started out running the optimisations with clients, but began writing tools to automate analysis. Over two years I built the analytics repository that became the primary analysis and validation tool for the optimisations. I was offered a quantitative developer role but left to start PaperLab.

I've been learning French and hope to pass C2 by the end of the year. I wrote a vocabulary tool to take dozens of translations from a dictionary and filter them to 3-4 learnable meanings. I recently added AI image and audio generation to make flashcards, put up a site and got some paying users.

I'm based in London. If you want to chat or grab a coffee, drop me a message below.
